Today during Sadie's naps I decided to plant a garden. It was finally bearable outside so I decided why not!?

I had to do quite a bit of clean up from our out of control flower beds (if you can call them that!).

Once I got the bed cleaned out Sadie and I went to Lowes to get some plants. During her afternoon nap I planted! Hopefully we will soon have cherry tomatoes, jalapenos, basil, summer squash, okra, peas, radishes, chives, green onions and a winter squash medley. Some were plants that were started and some are seeds. I hope they grow!

Now for the toughest part... remembering to WATER them!!!

Sadie is Crawling!

Where has the time gone...?

Wow! Where has the time gone? My little girl jumped from eating solids to crawling and eating people food. Sadie Grace is now 8 1/2 months old!

Sadie is a little go-getter. I took her to Gymboree yesterday with her friend Finn and she had a blast. She may not look like me but she likes flipping and turning just like her mother!

This past weekend I went on a girls trip with my college Bible Study girls. We had a blast catching up and seeing the Chicago sites. We even had High Tea at the Drake Hotel. Sadie spent the weekend with Mammaw and Grandpa in College Station.

Sadie tried her first solid food yesterday. Yummy peaches!! My camera was out of battery so I only have the pre-meal shot from my phone. We got a short little video that I will try and post later.

Sadie's First Halloween!

Sadie had a great first Halloween. We went over to Aunt Trisha's and had pizza and lot of sweets. We had so many kids come trick or treating to the house. More last night than we have had in all the previous years combined. It was a good thing we had a ton of candy because we were only left with about 5 pieces. Now we are just waiting for Sadie's friend Charis to get here! Carrie has been in labor since yesterday. We hope she gets here soon! Can't wait to see her in person next week!

California Trip

We had a great time in California! Sadie made her first 'out of the womb' flight and did great. I was hoping that the 21 flights while in the womb prepared her for what was to come. It was a tough flight to California because it was just the two of us but on the way back it was great because we had help from Mammaw and Sadie slept the whole time!

Sadie got to meet lots of people and of course went to the beach in Carmel. She wasn't too much of a fan of the beach because it was so bright. At least we got some pictures to document the occation.

Sadie Stats and a Full Nights Sleep

Sadie went to the Dr. yesterday for her 2 month check up. She had 2 shots and one liquid vaccination. She did not enjoy the shots at all! Poor little girl cried the hardest I've ever heard and actually produced real tears.... so sad.

After the Dr. she was pretty tired and as a result she slept 12 hours last night straight!!! Can you believe it??? It was wonderfully painful (you know what I mean if you've ever nursed...)

The Dr. said Sadie was doing everything she was supposed to be doing and even some things that she 'could be doing.' She smiled away at the Dr. and held her head up beautifully. She thought it wouldn't be too long before Sadie is rolling over.
